Larry’s – Venice...
Venice is a conundrum. It’s all locals and all tourists. And perhaps that’s...

The Spearmint Rhino has a brother and no, it doesn’t employ male strippers and it is not called the Wintergreen Panther. The 1616 Club and Restaurant, brought to you by the same guys that blessed you with the Rhino, opened its doors in the hopes of becoming your favorite pre-strip club joint. You get the same dancing, lush décor, attentive service and pricey drinks, but give up the nudity for an expansive menu.

If you were to ask a Los Angeles outsider to envision the staples of a Hollywood lifestyle, the images they conjure would likely include partying poolside and fine dining in upscale establishments that pay tribute to Hollywood’s yesteryears. If you’re an LA resident who hails from New Orleans, chances are you’ve already visited Hollywood’s answer to your hometown, Five0Four. And if you’re an LA resident who has ever visited New Orleans, chances are the grand majority of what you loved about the trip can be found within the walls of this fine establishment.

The Redbury is one of the latest additions to SBE’s portfolio, but is a serious departure from the empire’s usual swanky endeavors. Not taking itself too seriously (yet), the hotel and its amenities play with an old school vibe adorned with vintage-y pieces, record players in the rooms and an inviting bright red color scheme.
